Back-End Developer (Azure Cybersecurity Golang)

About the Role:

Skycubed is seeking a skilled and mission-driven Back-End Developer with a strong background in cloud-native development, cybersecurity, and Golang to support secure and scalable software solutions within the defense sector. The ideal candidate will contribute to building robust backend systems hosted on Microsoft Azure and meet the rigorous security standards required in national defense and critical infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in designing and developing scalable, secure, and reliable backend systems that support our mission-critical applications.

Job Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy backend services using Golang in a secure and scalable manner

Build cloud-based applications and infrastructure using Microsoft Azure, with a focus on performance and resilience

Integrate and apply cybersecurity best practices, including encryption, identity management, and secure coding techniques

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevSecOps, cloud architects, and security analysts

Ensure compliance with DoD security frameworks, NIST 800-53, and Zero Trust principles

Participate in design reviews, threat modeling, and secure code assessments

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years of backend development experience, preferably in Golang

Proven experience with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and services, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Key Vault, and Azure Monitor

Strong understanding of cybersecurity practices such as secure coding, authentication, authorization, data protection, and vulnerability management

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Github Workflow and Actions) and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates)

Experience with APIs (REST, RPCs), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD tools

Solid grasp of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL)

Familiarity with compliance and security standards used in defense systems

Security Clearance: Minimum SECRET, preferably Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-204, AZ-500)

Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Knowledge of secure DevOps (DevSecOps) methodologies

Experience working with DoD systems, FedRAMP, or classified environments

Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps workflows

Background in security tool development, network security, intrusion detection, or secure architecture design

Background in data science and analytics development

Background in compliance standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or NISTCompany Description
