Your area of work

As a working Student - Software Development & Testing (f/m/d) you will support our DevOps team in automating infrastructure, optimizing deployment pipelines, and ensuring system reliability across our cloud-based environments in the department of Data Warehouse and Data Platform.

Your responsibilities:

You will support the team creating, maintaining and upscaling CI/CD-Pipelines by using for example GitHub actions, Jenkins or similar

You will participate in the automation of infrastructure processes by Infrastructure as Code (i.e. Terraform, Ansible)

You will support senior programmer and analysts to build the libraries and frameworks of Microservices and APIs that support customer delivery excellence

You will help developing solutions for monitoring and optimization of the system performance and reliability using Grafana and similar tools

Documentation and testing to ensure quality and robustness

You will participate in all stages of the software lifecycle (design, implementation, test and production support) to ensure high quality and security standards

You will contribute to the transformation of our legacy applications into a modern cloud-based microservices architecture

Your profile:

You are currently enrolled at a state-recognized university as a regular student in Computer Science or equivalent

You already gathered experience in one or more general purpose programming languages including Go, Python, or Java

You understand data structures and have first experience with SQL

Experience in relational and non-relational database technologies (Oracle, Hive) would be an advantage

Basic understanding of DevOps tools and practices such as Git, CI/CD, Docker, or Terraform — or strong motivation to learn them

Interest in cloud platforms (e.g. GCP) and modern data infrastructure

Initial experience with data platforms or ETL tools is a plus

You have excellent written and spoken English skills alongside good communication and collaboration skills

Knowledge of the German language is not necessary but would be a high valued advantage

You are able to communicate on high professional level and can work under stress
