We are in search of a Director of Technical Services, R&D and QA for one of our most trusted clients! The ideal candidate will be an authentic leader with solid background in food safety, quality and R&D. Reporting directly to the President, this position has high visibility and will drive cross-functional initiatives to improve margin, consistency, and technical performance. They will oversee a team of nine and serve as the primary technical expert with oversight for both quality and R&D. This role is critical in supporting customer needs through effective problem-solving and delivering technical insights that align with business goals.
Keys to success in this role:
10+ years of experience in food manufacturing with leadership in technical services, QA, or R&D
Excellent collaborative and change management abilities
Enthusiastic and strong communicator who is an independent thinker and drives strategic change
Self-starter with strong systems thinking, attention to detail, and proactive problem solving skills.
Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and customer communication.
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field (Master’s a plus).
