We are looking for a dedicated Billing Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Reading, Pennsylvania. This role involves managing billing operations to ensure accurate and timely invoicing, payment tracking, and record maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting software systems.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and distribute invoices, receipts, policies, and statements to customers with precision and timeliness.
• Maintain and update customer records to ensure billing information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Process payments, returns, and credits efficiently while adhering to company policies.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies by communicating effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Perform account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding payments to support collections efforts.
• Generate financial and operational reports to provide insights on billing activities.
• Collaborate closely with customer service, sales, and collections teams to address billing concerns.
• Utilize accounting and billing software to track transactions and optimize workflow.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company standards in all billing operations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, related field is required.
Proven experience in billing, accounting, or a related financial role.
Proficiency in accounting software systems such as ADP, Epic Software, and EHR systems.
Familiarity with computerized billing systems and financial reporting tools.
Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify numerical errors.
Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to manage billing inquiries effectively.
Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and internal departments.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
