Design and Development Engineer Location: Derby Term: Permanent Salary: GBP 35,000 : GBP 45,000 per annum A well:established engineering company based in Derby is seeking a Design and Development Engineer to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in both the conceptual and practical stages of new product development and innovation.

The Design and Development Engineer will ideally have the following: : Degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline : Proven experience in a mechanical design or product development role : Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) : Good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and design for manufacture (DFM) : Ability to take a product from concept through to production : Creative problem:solving skills and attention to detail : Strong communication and teamwork skills The Design and Development Engineer role will involve: : Designing new products and developing improvements to existing products : Creating 3D CAD models and detailed technical drawings : Prototyping, testing, and validating new designs : Working closely with production, quality, and purchasing teams to ensure manufacturability and cost:efficiency : Conducting design reviews and risk assessments : Maintaining accurate documentation throughout the product development lifecycle If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply with your updated CV, along with your availability and salary expectations.
