Marketing Manager
As the Marketing Manager for drug delivery, you will identify and capitalize on new business opportunities beyond insulin injections, such as GLP-1 injections for obesity. Your focus will be on leading product launches and executing marketing strategies effectively.
You will collaborate with Commercial Leaders, Business Development, Product Marketing, and Marketing & Communications to turn untapped potential into revenue and expand embecta's product portfolio and market presence.
Responsibilities
Be a market expert by providing valuable insights and trends, including stakeholder mapping, decision-making processes, clinical guidelines, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
Collaborate with Commercial leaders and Business Development to define go-to-market strategies, prioritize high-potential segments, and develop rationalized launch plans.
Develop and execute demand generation initiatives (campaigns, promotions, events) tailored to local market needs to drive awareness and engagement among key stakeholders in the self-injecting segment.
Define key target groups using analytics and customer insights to inform strategy and messaging.
Localize messaging and develop culturally relevant content in collaboration with Global Marketing and Marketing Communications.
Partner with sales to co-create training materials, sales enablement tools, and support sales strategy development.
Lead execution of customer engagement programs such as webinars, patient/HCP groups, and loyalty initiatives.
Build relationships with key industry players, patient associations, clinical KOLs, and agencies to amplify reach and credibility.
Prepare and monitor the marketing budget on a quarterly and annual basis, ensuring high ROI and leveraging organic growth drivers.
Measure and report on marketing campaign performance, analyze customer behavior, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Business Development, Regulatory, Clinical, and MarCom to ensure aligned execution.
Coordinate with Marketing Communications to support pilots with relevant content and omnichannel engagement.
Act as the internal voice for drug self-injection, aligning global strategy with local market realities.
Champion a test-and-learn culture, focused execution, and commercial accountability in line with embecta’s values.
Assess new market opportunities (e.g., obesity/GLP-1) across North EMEA to identify unmet needs and entry strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives.
Experience and Education
Bachelor’s or master's degree in marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or a related health/science field
6–8 years of progressive experience in med tech, pharmaceutical, consumer health, or digital health marketing
Proven track record of launching new products, segments, or business models with measurable commercial impact
Hands-on experience in chronic disease markets — ideally obesity (GLP-1), diabetes care, or digital therapeutics
Demonstrated ability to launch new products and/or enter new markets
Experience leading pilot marketing initiatives and scaling validated programs across regions or markets
Familiarity with cross-functional collaboration in matrix organizations, including Regulatory, Clinical, and Commercial teams
Strong grounding in performance-driven marketing, market analysis, and strategic planning
Commercially strategic with a sharp analytical mindset and strong market orientation
Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of the organization.
Agile, self-directed, and comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-evolving markets
Proficient in storytelling and omnichannel engagement strategies, especially within regulated healthcare
Fluent in English and German
Operates with high integrity, urgency, and a strong sense of accountability
