About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Operative to support all aspects of warehouse operations, including unloading, receiving, storing, order picking, and loading, in line with company policies and values. The role also involves assisting with daily pack house production activities and ensuring compliance with standards related to product safety, legality, authenticity, and quality. The ideal candidate will uphold high standards of health & safety, hygiene, and environmental practices, while consistently demonstrating Driscoll’s core values of passion, humility, and trustworthiness.

Responsibilities

Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security

Operate within standard operating procedures.

Safely operate Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE).

Loading/unloading trucks arriving on site.

Receiving, splitting, and storing of goods in compliance with Company policies

Segregating waste, identifying and storage of recyclables, empty recycling/waste bins, regular checks on the condition of equipment

Ensure stock accuracy through regular stock audits.

Pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped, including cross-docking.

Maintain records and reports by competently using our computer systems.

Communicate effectively within the team and other areas of the business, to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled by a smooth operation.

Other duties as required by the business.

Candidate Profile

Previous experience working in a comparable role, preferably within the soft fruit industry.

Loading/unloading trucks arriving on site.

Receiving, splitting, and storing of goods in compliance with Company policies

Segregating waste, identifying and storage of recyclables, empty recycling/waste bins, regular checks on the condition of equipment.

Pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped, including cross-docking.

Team-working skills to effectively collaborate with other members of a Driscoll’s team.

Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines as required by the business.

Computer literate with the ability to use warehouse management systems including scanners and software programs.

Able to adapt to different working environments.

Able to demonstrate Passion, Humility and Trustworthiness

Flexible approach to working hours including weekend working / early starts / late finishes.
