Machine Operator Helper

Location: Taylor, MI

Schedule: 6:00AM-2:30PM Monday-Friday

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $17-18 per hourJob Summary:We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Machine Operator Helper to support production operations in our corrugated packaging facility. This role assists machine operators with the setup, operation, and maintenance of converting and corrugating machines, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality output.Key Responsibilities:

Assist machine operators in setting up and running corrugated converting equipment (e.g., flexo folder gluers, die cutters, slotters).

Feed raw materials (corrugated sheets) into machines and monitor output for accuracy and quality.

Remove finished products and stack or bundle them for shipping.

Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshoot issues under supervision.

Keep work area clean and organized, removing scrap or debris as needed.

Conduct quality checks and report defects or irregularities to supervisor.

Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE.

Help with changeovers and cleaning during shift transitions.

Perform other general labor duties as assigned by supervisor or lead operator.Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Prior experience in manufacturing, packaging, or warehouse environment a plus

Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks

Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions

Strong attention to detail and work ethic

Basic mechanical aptitude is a plusWork Environment:

Industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, noise, dust, and moving equipment

Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling

Temperature can vary depending on season and area of the plant
