Salesforce Lead Development/Administrator (Software Development Specialist 3)

Hourly Rate: $40.59 commensurate with experience
What You'll Do:
In this position as the Salesforce Lead Development/Administrator your primary duties will be:
· Create and maintain Salesforce configuration changes, including Flows, custom fields, page layouts, record types, and custom settings.
· Manage and maintain sandbox environments for development and testing.
· Promote and deploy code across multiple environments using established DevOps practices.
· Identify and gather business and technical requirements; translate them into best-practice, scalable Salesforce solutions focused on excellent user experience.
· Evaluate and recommend platform features; identify unused or underutilized functionality.
· Implement and advocate for security best practices in application development.
· Develop and maintain a Salesforce platform roadmap in coordination with stakeholders.
· Conduct proactive system maintenance, including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Checks, and Optimizer assessments.
· Apply DevOps and release management best practices to ensure smooth deployment cycles.
· Participate in and lead requirements gathering, solution design, and development efforts.
· Utilize Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies to ensure robust and maintainable code.
· Provide production support and resolve issues in a timely manner.
· Lead focused technical discussions and mentor junior developers.
· Create, review, and maintain technical documentation, including system design and support guides.
· Collaborate effectively with various IT teams and business stakeholders.
· Perform additional duties as assigned.

PUCO core hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across PUCO departments. Most positions perform work on-site at the PUCO Central Office. Flex-time schedules are based on operational need and require supervisor approval.
Salary Information: Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary is set at the lowest rate of the salary range. In most cases, successful employees will increase a step in the salary range within six months, with subsequent step increases occurring every year. In addition, the State of Ohio offers cost of living adjustments, longevity supplements after five years of public service, and wellness incentives.

-Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; 42 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: assuring requirements are defined and approved, performing code reviews and ensuring application development standards are met including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology (Salesforce) as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; 36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: assuring requirements are defined and approved, performing code reviews and ensuring application development standards are met including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology (Salesforce) as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
-Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
