Salary: $120,000 - $160,000

Schedule:

Full-time, year-round position

Base schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM, with flexibility based on family needs

Objective:

A private family in Georgetown, Washington DC seeks to hire an energetic, organized, and flexible House Manager to oversee a large urban home and ensure smooth household operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication and organizational skills who thrives in a positive, professional household environment.

Family Overview:

Professional couple with grown children and one Golden Retriever

Household Staff:

Supported by a housekeeper and various vendors

Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional service to principals and guests

Maintain and organize kitchen and pantry, and stock refrigerator

Inspect property daily and ensure it is well-maintained

Oversee and assist with housekeeping duties as needed

Manage household and kitchen inventory (food, supplies, utilities)

Handle errands, mail, and package distribution

Set up and maintain outdoor furniture; bring in cushions as needed

Clean and reset fireplaces; restock firewood

Maintain vehicles, including cleaning and fueling, and schedule routine maintenance

Perform light tidying up on housekeeper days off

Empty trash and ensure all areas are reset daily

Drive principals and guests as required

Answer phones, take messages, and welcome visitors

Qualifications:

5 - 10 years of experience as a House Manager or similar role

Excellent references from previous employers

Courteous, professional, and discreet; must sign a confidentiality agreement

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Fluent in English with strong communication skills

Long-term commitment preferred

Valid Driver's License

Valid US Work Authorization
