The CMM Programmer is responsible for performing inspections and supporting data analysis. Effectively documents and communicates results in a timely fashion to maintain uninterrupted movement within the Manufacturing process. Individual shall also work closely with Quality Assurance, CNC Programmers, Design Engineering, MFG Production & Braze/Special Process to ensure that all inspections are thoroughly completed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strives towards a culture of proactive safety.

Create CMM programs with PC-DMIS software (From Solidworks models, drawings & applicable documents)

Create Absolute Arm programs

Document measurements required for First Article Inspections / AS9102

Updating & Managing Microsoft Excel databases

Mechanical, Visual & Final Inspections

Recommend new metrology based technologies towards improving our overall capabilities

Complete quality related and continuous improvement project work

Participate in investigations of root cause and corrective actions / implement preventative actions

Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Level 1, 2 and/or 3 PC-DMIS Certification - Preferred

Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning amd Tolerancing (GDT)

Interpret Technical Drawing and Specifications towards Programming

Spacial Awareness of basic machining practices & CMM Setups

Understanding of Statistical Process Controls / AS9103

Understanding of Lean Manufacturing - Preferred

Ability to navigate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc)
