Coughlin Automotive Group is looking for a self-motivated and career-driven Used Vehicle Expeditor to join our growing automotive group. This is a high-impact role that helps keep our used inventory strong while offering our customers exceptional value and service.

Used Vehicle Expeditor - Summary

The Used Vehicle Expeditor is responsible for efficiently managing the movement and processing of used vehicles within the Coughlin Automotive Group. This includes ensuring vehicles are prepped for sale or delivery, coordinating with various departments, and maintaining accurate records.

Used Vehicle Expeditor – Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management:

Utilize technology and reporting tools to optimize vehicle flow through appraisal policy, process and execution, daily trade and stock walk process

Identify and prioritize used vehicles based on factors like age, processing stage, and customer requests

Initiation and oversight of reconditioning process - manage units requiring specific accessories or work, ensuring timely installation and processing.

Use of all available sources for supplemental inventory purchasing

Use of manufacturer's lease return policy for inventory

Use of model inventory management to keep optimum core of fastest-moving, easily replaceable inventory

Efficiently using the wholesale process to move excess and/or undesirable trades

Vehicle photography process for Cyber Showroom – uploading real photos after the trade walk, once reconditioned adding 25 to 45 high resolution and video

Marketing Management:

Accurate and timely uploads to the digital showroom

Use of value-building stickers

Vehicle descriptions and unique selling propositions

Evidence Jackets and Exit Packages for each retail vehicle

Display management

Monitoring the digital showroom

Retail pricing policy, process and execution

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of vehicle location, status, and any work performed

Generate reports on inventory levels, processing times, and other relevant metrics

Track success of supplemental purchasing efforts

Advance planning of auction trips, running CarFax reports on vehicles of interest

Communication & Collaboration:

Provide product information to assist management in salesperson training by specific vehicle and in general

Communicate effectively with sales, service, detailing, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth operations
