MISSION:
Apply Global procedures and standards, internally and with suppliers
Validate and qualify supplier’s manufacturing processes and components
Manage quality problems generated by suppliers and ensure continuous improvement
Identify all potential risks at suppliers by performing production runs, audits, and shop floor activities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a member of the CENTRAL EUROPE SUPPLIER ENGINEERING ORGANIZATION, you will contribute significantly in designing, improving, and implementing the core processes of Supplier Quality Management in OP MOBILITY Exterior & Lighting.
Furthermore, you are responsible for the quality performance and the continuous improvement of all the Suppliers InBOM, tooling and specific machines within your assigned perimeter.
You will also have to comply with defined health and safety regulations, as for internal and legal regulations.
Apply Global procedures and standards, internally and with suppliers:
Be responsible for the strict application of internal procedures and of Global Supplier Quality Manual, internally and with suppliers
Support the maintaining and updating of internal procedures and tools
Foster the partnership between SUPPLIER ENGINEERING and all other functions within OP MOBILITY
Validate and qualify supplier’s manufacturing processes and components:
Support Purchasing team, as a member of the sourcing team, for supplier selection on new projects, conducting assessment and providing results on supplier’s ability versus quality management and technical expertise
Organize and perform audits at suppliers such as Potential Analysis, Process Audits (VDA6.3 and pre-run@rate), Supplier Readiness Audits, Run@rate and Follow-up Audits
Drive the validation of supplier manufacturing processes and supplier components on time, versus project milestones, respecting APQP procedure until PPAP approval
Manage quality problems generated by suppliers (up to 6 months after SOP):
Manage problem solving activities with suppliers and support on any technical issue
Be responsible of the quality performance measured on delivered components (pre-serial and serial) from suppliers, during program development
Promote the existing good practices within suppliers in charge
Collect knowledge acquired through new technical solutions, capitalize them through lesson learned, and share them within the network and with suppliers
Deploy the necessary activities in your perimeter to reach defined KPIs / objectives
Manage continuous improvement of supplier performance:
Ensure regular supplier evaluations and the launch of supplier development programs if needed
Trigger quality improvement programs with drifting and risky suppliers, challenge and supervise supplier’s improvement plans and measure the resulting improvements
Support project teams and sites in case of crisis or major issue at suppliers (also 6 months after SOP)
Identify all potential risks at suppliers by performing production runs, audits, and shop floor activities:
Escalate, as “Alert launcher”, any major issue putting in danger the projects
Conduct preventative audits, launch readiness audits, and shop floor audits at suppliers
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT(S):
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Management, Quality, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management
Quality master's degree or equivalent preferred
EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE REQUIREMENT(S):
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of automotive Supplier Quality Management
Strong and proven audit experience
Good knowledge in MS Office tools, SAP, ERP
In-depth knowledge of relevant audit standards (e.g., IATF 16949, VDA 6.3) and automotive core tools (e.g., 8D, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
Strong communication, negotiation and presenting skills (in an international environment)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong team building skills to build bridges between different functional areas and regional teams
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Languages: English (fluent; C level)
Willing to constructively challenge existing setups
Willingness to travel regionally, sometimes globally (visit and audit suppliers)
