W2/Direct employment only Job Title: DevOps Manager & Solutions Architect Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on DevOps Manager & Solutions Architect to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our DevOps practices, tooling, and platform engineering efforts.

This role requires a deep technical background combined with the ability to lead by example — rolling up your sleeves to build, automate, and support robust CI/CD pipelines, cloud/hybrid environments, and developer platforms.

You will work closely with application development teams, infrastructure, platform engineers, and leadership to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient solutions that directly impact software delivery and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities: Lead hands-on design, build, and management of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment processes.

Partner directly with Software Engineering teams to understand application architecture and delivery needs, providing tailored DevOps solutions.

Architect and implement cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure with a focus on scalability, availability, and security.

Own and manage Azure DevOps (including On-Prem) platforms, ensuring integration with cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments.

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation.

Drive automation across environment provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring.

Manage the DevOps Platform & Internal Developer Portal, enhancing self-service capabilities and operational transparency.

Lead by example in hands-on scripting, pipeline development, and troubleshooting across Bash, Python, YAML, and JSON.

Vet, implement, and support new DevOps tools and technologies, balancing innovation with practical value.

Provide technical leadership to a team of DevOps Engineers and cross-functional teams; mentor, coach, and elevate DevOps maturity across the organization.

Collaborate with leadership to align DevOps strategies with business objectives, including budgeting, licensing, and project roadmaps.

Continuously evaluate security posture of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and tools, ensuring compliance with best practices.

Serve as the key point of contact for incident resolution and post-mortem analysis within the DevOps scope.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.

5+ years in DevOps Engineering, with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership or management role.

Deep hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, especially Azure DevOps (including on-premise); familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Argo CI a plus.

Proficient knowledge of various technologies including .NET Core, Apache Kafka, Redis, GIT, SQL Server, and ElasticSearch.

Proven expertise with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and hybrid deployments.

Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools — Terraform preferred.

Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python) and configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef). Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration — Docker & Kubernetes required.

Experience building or customizing internal Developer Portals (e.g., Backstage.io). Familiarity with observability tooling and automation best practices.

Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on practical, scalable solutions.

Excellent communicator, able to interface with technical teams and business leadership alike.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or advanced certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, CKA, Azure DevOps Expert). Experience with Platform Engineering tools (e.g., Humanitec). Prior experience scaling DevOps practices in a hybrid enterprise environment.
