Illuminate USA is seeking an energetic and innovative Equipment Technical Training Supervisor to inspire and elevate our technical workforce at our new Pataskala, Ohio facility. Reporting to the Technical Training Manager, this role is all about creating impactful programs that promote safety, drive production excellence, and foster a culture of collaboration and growth.

As the Technical Training Supervisor, you’ll lead a team of technical trainers to design and deliver training programs that empower our associates to perform at their best while prioritizing safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of technical trainers dedicated to training equipment operators, maintenance technicians, and support staff.

Develop and oversee equipment-specific training programs covering proper operation, setup, changeovers, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), and safety procedures.

Ensure trainers are consistently delivering accurate, effective, and standardized instruction across all shifts.

Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations teams to identify skill gaps, coordinate hands-on training, and support the rollout of new equipment.

Conduct technical training sessions as needed, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Oversee the development and maintenance of technical training materials such as equipment manuals, visual work instructions, job aids, and PM checklists.

Ensure all training activities comply with OSHA, ISO, and internal safety and quality standards.

Track employee training progress and certifications using the Learning Management System (LMS) and provide regular reporting to leadership.

Participate in equipment failure investigations and initiate retraining efforts as part of root cause corrective actions.

Support continuous improvement efforts by integrating lean principles and standard work into training programs.

What You’ll Bring

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

4+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with at least 2 years in equipment training or technical supervision.

Proven leadership experience managing or coordinating a team of trainers or technical staff.

Strong working knowledge of manufacturing equipment such as CNC machines, PLCs, automation systems, and mechanical/electrical components.

Excellent instructional, coaching, and troubleshooting skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Ability to work on the production floor and across multiple shifts as needed.

OEM training experience or certification (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, FANUC).

Familiarity with TPM, CMMS systems, and predictive maintenance tools.

Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles.
