Schools - Occupational Therapist

Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract position is available for an Occupational Therapist to serve students from preschool through middle school, with some support extending to high school students. This role is based in a K-12 public school located in Custer, SD, beginning August 1, 2025, for a full semester.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver occupational therapy services to students, primarily focusing on elementary and middle school age groups.

Provide both in-person therapy sessions and teletherapy as needed.

Complete all required documentation and report writing, with the option to perform paperwork remotely.

Collaborate with educational staff to support student development and educational goals.

Maintain flexibility to schedule therapy sessions three days per week, with the possibility of a hybrid work model.

Coordinate therapy days within a Monday to Friday schedule as agreed upon.

Qualifications and Experience:

Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in home health, healthcare, teletherapy, and school settings.

Experience working with children across preschool to high school age ranges.

Strong organizational skills for managing caseloads and completing reports.

Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule and hybrid work environment.

Position is based in Custer, South Dakota, servicing a public K-12 school.
