Software Engineer - Back End/Full Stack Developer

Job Title: Experienced Back-end or Full Stack Developer (React / Node.js / AWS Lambda)

Location: Hybrid – St. Petersburg, FL (On-site 2-3 days/week)

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role:

We're looking for an experienced Back-end or Full Stack Developer to join our team and contribute to building high-performance, scalable web applications. You'll work primarily with AWS Lambda (Node.js) for the backend, React for the front end, and DynamoDB for persistence. This is a hands-on role where you'll design, develop, and maintain features across the stack, with a primary focus on the serverless backend.

What You’ll Do:

Design and develop RESTful APIs and serverless functions using Node.js on AWS Lambda

Contribute to React-based front-end features (if full stack)

Work with DynamoDB to model data and build high-performance queries

Collaborate with product and design teams to define and deliver features

Write clean, testable, maintainable code and participate in code reviews

Help monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance in production

Participate in architecture discussions and technical planning

Qualifications:

4+ years of professional development experience

Strong proficiency with Node.js, ideally in serverless or cloud-native environments

Experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and related services

Solid understanding of DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases

Familiarity with React.js and front-end integration (if applying full stack)

Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD, and working in agile teams

Excellent problem-solving skills and communication

Nice to Have:

Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Serverless Framework, SAM, or Terraform)

Familiarity with authentication frameworks like Cognito or Auth0

Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced environment
