We are seeking a direct support professional (with personal care experience) to join our team. In this position, you will assist individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities with their daily living needs, provide compassionate care, and generally increase their quality of life. Responsibilities may include assisting with hygiene needs, daily living skill development, and facilitating independence. The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and willing to assist individuals while increasing independence.

Responsibilities

Assist with daily living activities

Assist with personal hygiene needs and dressing

Assist with mobility, walking, and exercise

Prepare food and monitor intake

Collaborate with other professionals

Assist with facilitated independence for household tasks, personal care, and other daily living skills

Facilitate community activitiesQualifications

High school diploma/GED

Hands-on experience with personal care

First aid and CPR-certified

Basic computer skills

Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines

Excellent communication and interpersonal spills

Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

Ability to work with limited supervision

Compassionate, respectful, ethical
