Japanese Bilingual Interpreter - Admin

Job Description

A Global OEM Manufacturer is looking for an Interpreter - Admin (Japanese) to join their team.

Position Summary

Work side by side with Human Resource Lead with day-to-day HR and Administration tasks. Main role and responsibility are to perform translation work (written and verbal- English/Japanese) and administrative task. Other tasks include supporting HR with time and attendance, orientation, safety compliance, employee engagement, and any other related HR tasks as needed.

This is a first shift position with the hours from 7 am to 4 pm Mon-Fri. Overtime as needed.

Roles and Responsibilities

English/Japanese translation

Interpret and Translate (verbal and written) messages simultaneously or consecutively into Japanese/English languages maintaining message content, context, and style as much as possible.

Translation work during meetings and conferences.

Supporting our Japanese advisor with relocation onboarding/offboarding (banking, housing, SSA, driver license, etc.).

Administration Task

Support HR tasks such as time and attendance, orientation, safety compliance, and other related HR tasks as needed.

Maintaining all office and safety supply ordering and inventory

Travel arrangements/reservations (car, hotel, flights)

Managing phone calls/and front desk

Arrange company functions (luncheons, snack day, outings)

Education and Experience

High School Diploma - or the equivalent (for example, GED)

Microsoft office

Teams

Skills- must have

Ability to speak, write, and translate English/Japanese is a must

Strong verbal communication skills (English and Japanese)

Knowledge in HR is a plus, but not required
