Your Role: The role of Senior RTR Analyst – Intercompany is primarily focused on ensuring accurate management of intercompany charges, eliminations and reconciliations. This requires strict adherence to company policies while working closely with the local affiliates. Additionally, Senior RTR Analyst–Intercompany will be supporting the accuracy and completeness of the GA month end closing and related General Accounting activities for assigned entities.
Your Responsibilities:
Process Expertise and Business Partnership
Be seen as a "go-to" information resource for Intercompany related queries
Review all Intercompany charge requests to ensure accuracy and coordinate with local affiliates for proper approvals
Analyze and perform Intercompany account reconciliations in accordance with month-end close process
Execute the Intercompany eliminations and FX adjustment process during month-end close and investigate and resolve any issues
Prepare journal entries and Intercompany schedules and provide reporting as needed
Review and maintain the intercompany aging reports
Review key Intercompany metrics & communicate to stakeholders to ensure key deliverables are being met while identifying and implementing initiatives to improve
Demonstrate excellence in all interactions with ESC internal customers & business partners
Focus on measuring & improving the internal customer's experience with the ESC
Build and maintain a strong knowledge of supported affiliate's business
Actively participate in the GA month-end close and reconciliation process, ensure adherence to the standard month/quarter/year-end timelines
Process Governance:
Demonstrate a strong Continuous Improvement oriented approach & help to build a strong Continuous Improvement culture
Actively work with the core team members and internal IT groups to identify improvements for processes
Report end-to-end process metrics and KPIs to measure service levels, operational effectiveness, process health, and process compliance
Controls:
Ensure prioritization and encourage a culture of compliance to SOx and other internal controls requirements
Ensure ownership for all applicable SOx & Operational controls related to Intercompany Accounting
Integrate controls into process documentation and training materials
Assists auditors (internal & external) by preparing requested data and providing explanation of supporting materials and procedures
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
University Degree in Business and/or Accounting (or equivalent work experience)
3-5 years of experience in RTR or Finance function in SSC/BPO environment, with in-depth knowledge of Intercompany processes in a multinational environment and preferably experience with US GAAP/IFRS technical accounting
Proven analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
Proven control orientation based on prior operational business roles
Ability to respond flexibly to customer needs, effectively managing expectations
Ability to work across cultures and across diverse management styles
Ability to handle complexity and utilize analytical skills, with attention to detail
Ability to proactively & effectively analyse & resolve problems in the Intercompany area & devise appropriate testing strategies to support
Ability to effectively prioritize and complete key tasks and deliverables while demonstrating full ownership & accountability
Ability to work in global team environment and communicate effectively with both internal business partners of all levels & disciplines, especially affiliate Project Managers outside of Finance
Fluency in English language
Experience with SAP
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
CPA, CIMA, ACCA, Chartered Accountant or equivalent
