We’re currently seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the design and execution of engineered-to-order capital equipment—including advanced water heating, wastewater treatment, and energy recovery systems.

This role will support large-scale projects across industries such as renewable energy, power generation, semiconductor manufacturing, and industrial water treatment.

Full Benefits Unlimited PTO 401k + Match 10% Bonus Job Details The Engineering Manager is responsible for delivering safe, code-compliant, and cost-effective designs that meet customer specifications and performance standards.

This role provides daily technical direction, oversees project execution from concept through commissioning, and drives engineering standards and continuous improvement.

The manager will lead a high-performing team and implement lean, scalable practices to improve throughput, product quality, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities * Lead a responsive engineering team from order receipt through system start-up and commissioning, promoting excellence and cross-functional collaboration.

* Develop and maintain standards for design, components, and equipment in alignment with best practices and customer requirements.

* Continuously improve existing water heating, heat recovery, and wastewater treatment solutions.

* Apply lean engineering and value analysis techniques to reduce design variability, streamline engineering cycles, and support cost, performance, and delivery goals.

* Build scalable engineering processes for an engineered-to-order and make-to-order manufacturing environment.

* Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and supply chain to improve lead times and product throughput.

* Oversee engineering budgets, capital expenditures, and resource planning.

* Create and manage engineering KPIs, dashboards, and systems to drive accountability and performance.

* Mentor and develop engineering staff; manage hiring, performance feedback, and career development.

* Ensure quality and regulatory compliance through design reviews, documentation control, and standards (e.g., ASME, UL, NFPA, ISO 9001). * Maintain accurate and timely documentation of P&IDs, 3D CAD models, BOMs, and manuals.

* Manage technical engagement with external vendors and service providers.

* Provide technical and cost input during proposal development and pre-sales support.

* Institutionalize best practices and tribal knowledge through controlled standards and documentation.

Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering discipline * 5+ years of progressive engineering experience in capital equipment design, including 3+ years in an engineered-to-order environment * Strong knowledge of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, process design, combustion systems, and wastewater treatment * Experience with instrumentation and controls for process equipment * Minimum of 2 years leading multidisciplinary engineering teams * Background supporting field service and technical support teams * Proven experience implementing lean engineering, cost-reduction initiatives, and product standardization * Familiarity with ERP and PLM integration and document control systems * Excellent communication skills—written and verbal Certifications & Standards * Familiarity with applicable industry standards such as ASME, AWS, UL, NSF, NEC, NFPA, and IEC Travel * Up to 20% travel may be required Interested in hearing more?
