Kenton Black are seeking a permanent Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their clients expanding team in Dundee.The client, a leading civil engineering and building contractor operating across Scotland, is looking to appoint a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor.
This strategic role offers a hands-on opportunity to oversee the commercial success of varied and complex projects, delivering work that shapes communities across the region.Key Responsibilities:- Lead the financial management and reporting on major civil and commercial contracts- Prepare and assess bills of quantities, valuations, and subcontract agreements- Monitor and manage cost control procedures, ensuring profitability targets are met- Provide commercial support and guidance to operational teams throughout the project lifecycle- Negotiate contracts and liaise confidently with clients, subcontractors, and consultantsWhat You Bring:- Demonstrable experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a civil engineering or main contracting environment, with progression to senior level- Robust understanding of NEC and JCT contracts and their practical application- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and commercial judgment- Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent professional qualification- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proactive and collaborative mindsetWhy This Role?The client offers a culture of integrity, ambition, and continual growth.
