FWI is building a team to provide network and IT infrastructure architecture and engineering consulting services, technical writing, day-to-day operations, system engineering for program enhancements, training, and support of the Information Technology (IT) program at the U.S. Access Board. As an Application Developer, you will develop and maintain web applications while serving as the Section 508 compliance expert ensuring all applications and documentation meet federal accessibility standards.

Work Schedule and Location:
On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain USAB web applications and associated subsites
Serve as Section 508 compliance expert for all web content and documentation
Ensure 24x7 availability of USAB website
Perform administration including account maintenance and software configuration
Monitor development environments for patches and upgrades
Generate traffic reports for main USAB website
Create and maintain support websites for complaint tracking system
Develop reports and dashboards supporting USAB operations
Ensure proper application development methodologies for requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and implementation
Maintain ATO/ATU security requirements compliance
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum 5+ years as mid to senior level application developer
Proven experience in e-commerce and project coordination
Strong experience using web development workflows
Technical Skills Required:
HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages
GitHub for version control
SQL/MySQL database experience
UX principles and application design
Experience with full development lifecycle: design, development, unit testing, and code implementation
Deep understanding of Section 508 compliance requirements for web applications and documentation
Experience with configuration management and code management techniques
Experience developing e-commerce applications
