Summary

SHIFT TIME: Monday - Friday 0600 - 1430

We are seeking a talented Junior Network Administrator to support a Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity program. In this role, you’ll assist with managing and securing network infrastructure in a classified, high-assurance environment. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with network hardware, strong troubleshooting skills, and a collaborative mindset, with opportunities to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

Perform daily administration and maintenance of LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls

Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve connectivity issues promptly

Support implementation of network security configurations and policies in alignment with DoD cybersecurity frameworks

Conduct regular vulnerability scans and support remediation efforts using tools such as ACAS

Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and contribute to Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) compliance

Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, configuration baselines, and asset inventories

Assist in incident response activities by collecting and analyzing network data

Work closely with senior network engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and systems teams on RMF-aligned initiatives

Participate in formal change management processes for planned network updates and implementations

Qualifications

Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

DoD 8470/8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE)

1+ years of experience in network administration in a DoD or large-scale IT environment

Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, and switching

Experience working with enterprise-grade network hardware to include Juniper (required) and Cisco

Familiarity with RMF processes, STIGs, and system hardening practices

Proficiency with common troubleshooting tools (ping, traceroute, Wireshark, etc.)

Strong attention to detail, documentation habits, and communication skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a mission-oriented technical team

USD $52,000.00/Yr.

Posted Max Pay Rate

USD $64,000.00/Yr.

Salary Disclosure

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications. The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
