JOB SUMMARY
The Trauma Process Improvement (PI) Coordinator, under direction of the Trauma program leadership, is responsible for coordination and facilitation of the Trauma Performance Improvement Program. Responsible for monitoring and coordinating trauma care to ensure quality care for the trauma patient. Facilitates performance improvement activities, including data collection, analysis, trending and benchmarking of data outcomes. Assists with aggregation and analysis of data, to facilitate development and support of best practices and evidence-based medicine. Participates in all aspects of committees and team development to address performance improvement initiatives for the organization including the Medical Staff. Serves as a liaison to the clinical areas responsible for trauma patients. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
Completion of Associate's Degree in Nursing or BSN
Minimum Work Experience
Two consecutive years in acute care setting preferred
Required Licenses/Certifications
Registered Nurse
AIS/AAAM Course within 12 months
ICD10 Coding Certificate within 6 months of hire
Trauma Data Registry Course within 3 months of hire
Trauma Outcomes and Performance (Topic) within 6 months of hire
Optimal Course within 6 months of hire
TNCC within 12 months of hire
PALS and/or ENPC within 12 weeks of months of hire
Expectations to become an ENPC instructor within 2 years of hire
