About the Role

Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a Senior Windows Software Developer to lead a team designing, developing, and testing application software across Windows, Unix, or other specified platforms. This role involves building GUIs, adapting to evolving requirements, and working in an agile environment to deliver custom software solutions aligned with government specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Lead software development projects for Windows and/or Unix platforms

Design, develop, test, and validate complex application software

Build graphical user interfaces for custom applications

Ensure collaborative development with configuration management practices

Adapt to changing requirements within an agile development process

Qualifications & Requirements

U.S. Citizenship Required

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field

8+ years experience with object-oriented programming languages

5+ years experience developing Windows applications (Visual Studio/.NET) OR

5+ years developing Unix applications using makefiles or similar tools

3+ years experience leading software development projects

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with C/C++, C#, Java, or comparable languages

Familiarity with Windows Internals/APIs, Wireshark, IDA Pro, and/or Ghidra

Experience with software life cycle management including requirements, design, test, and deployment
