About the Role

Central Texas Recruiting is seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator to support system validation efforts on mission-driven programs. This role requires strong expertise in Unix/Linux environments and database-centric systems, supporting secure operations within a highly classified environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support system validation and administration for critical mission programs

Manage and maintain Unix, Linux, Solaris, or SQL Server systems

Provide system administration for database-centric systems with knowledge of RDBMS and security features

Analyze data flows, queries, and traffic manipulation to meet program needs

Collaborate with technical teams to ensure system security and performance

Qualifications & Requirements

U.S. Citizenship Required

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university required (5 years additional experience may substitute)

10 years of system administration experience on similar programs and contracts required

Technical Skills:

IAT Level 1 or higher certification required; Security+ preferred

6 years combined experience with Unix and Linux systems

Programming skills in C, Perl, or Bourne Shell preferred

Experience with Solaris, UNIX, Linux systems, or SQL Server 2000/2005 RDBMS and SGI/HP hardware
