The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the manufacturing engineering functiondeveloping and optimizing production processes, improving quality and efficiency, and managing a team of engineers. This role ensures seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and meet strategic business goals.
What Youll Do:
Process Design & Optimization
Develop and continuously refine manufacturing processes, tooling, and workflows to increase efficiency, minimize waste, and improve throughput.
Project Management
Lead end-to-end engineering projectsdefine timelines, manage budgets, allocate resources, and deliver measurable results.
Team Leadership
Direct and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers. Provide technical guidance, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities.
Quality Assurance & Improvement
Enforce quality control processes, proactively resolve quality issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Cost Control
Analyze production and labor costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement process improvements for financial efficiency.
Data-Driven Decision-Making
Monitor KPIs (cycle time, scrap rates, yield, uptime) and apply insights to optimize performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with R&D, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure effective product transitions and process scalability.
Continuous Improvement
Lead lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and eliminate waste.
Equipment Oversight
Manage equipment maintenance, upgrades, and new acquisitions to support production reliability.
What You Bring:
Bachelors Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)
510 years of experience in manufacturing engineering roles, ideally in chip-cutting or similar environments
Proven team leadership experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Access a plus
Excellent communication and project management skills
