Key Responsibilities:

Operating MRI Scanners:

MRI Technologists are responsible for setting up and operating MRI scanners, adjusting equipment controls, and positioning patients for scans.

Patient Care and Safety:

They explain the procedure to patients, address their concerns, monitor their condition during scans, and ensure their safety and comfort.

Image Acquisition and Processing:

They acquire and process MRI images, ensuring they are of high quality for diagnostic interpretation.

Collaboration with Radiologists:

MRI Technologists work closely with radiologists to understand their imaging needs, discuss findings, and contribute to patient diagnosis and treatment.

Equipment Maintenance:

They perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Record Keeping:

They maintain accurate patient records and documentation of scans.

ARRT - MRI or ARMRIT certification required Must have strong GE experience: scanners: GE discovery 750W 3T Must start IV's and administer contrast 2-3 years experience Shift: 3p-11:30p, Monday-Friday. They would have rotating call during the week and only call during the weekend. They would take call rotating with 4 other techs. 10:30-p to 6a during the week. Weekend call would be Friday night- then Saturday starting at 6p until Monday morning at 6a. Permanent address must be outside of a 50 mile radius Gross Pay of $3046 including $1246 as tax free stipends and $1800 at W2. Regular Hourly rate: $45 OT rate: $67.5
