What You’ll Do:
As our Lead Data Architect, you will own the strategy, architecture, implementation and ongoing maintenance of data platform(s) across the organization. This high-impact role will lead the design and execution of our enterprise-wide data strategy. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in modern data architecture, business intelligence, and data science to enable better performance and scalability across all departments, with an emphasis on Investments, Leasing, Marketing, and Operations. Reporting directly to our Executive Director of Information Technology, this high-impact role will define the data strategy, architect the infrastructure, and lead the execution of key initiatives that enable smarter, faster decision-making across the business.

What You’ll Own:
Architect, implement, and optimize a modern data warehouse using Snowflake or a similar solution such as Amazon Redshift or Google BigQuery
Lead cross-functional integration of data sources (Entrata, QuickBase, Google Analytics, Excel, etc.)
Develop scalable and automated ETL/ELT pipelines (e.g., dbt, Fivetran, or similar)
Design and manage semantic data models using Tableau or similar BI platform
Partner with business units to define KPIs, reporting frameworks, and governance standards
Perform advanced analytics to support forecasting, asset management, and strategic decision-making
Champion data accuracy, quality, security, and documentation across systems
Mentor and guide analysts and junior engineers; establish data best practices
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Data Science, or related field. Master’s degree is strongly preferred
7+ years in data modeling, architecture, data science, or engineering analyst roles
Experience leading the implementation of Snowflake or Tableau
3+ years hands-on with Snowflake and cloud-native data warehouses
Proficient in programming languages, preferably Python, R, Java, or SQL
Proven experience with Tableau (or similar) dashboarding, data modeling, and user-level security
Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT architecture and data orchestration tools
Experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, etc.)
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate business needs into data solutions
Knowledge of data cataloging and metadata management tools
Preferred experience:
Industry experience in real estate, property management, or financial services
Familiarity with Entrata data structures
Experience managing data governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR)
