Data Specialist

Key Responsibilities

Process and record all types of donations (checks, EFTs, online, stock, third-party platforms).

Reconcile donation data and manage matching gifts.

Maintain donor records and respond to general inquiries.

Monitor shared inboxes related to donations and data.

Prepare recurring donation reports and donor lists for campaigns.

Ensure data accuracy in Salesforce and assist with system clean-up.

Support seasonal mail processing, acknowledgments, and tax receipts.

Perform compliance tasks related to gift documentation and data privacy.

Collaborate on data analysis, reporting, and process improvements.

Qualifications

Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.

Experience with Salesforce, Excel, and standard office software.

Comfortable learning new systems (e.g., Asana, Dropbox).

Prior experience in a nonprofit or fundraising environment preferred.

Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum four years of related work experience.
