Our client, an international broker-dealer located in Midtown, NY, is looking to add a regulatory Project Coordinator to their Technology Infrastructure team. This person will be responsible for the delivery of several firm-wide initiatives related to strategy and business process. Responsibilities include developing the strategy and delivery of change delivery, update and document meeting materials to present to key stakeholders, and coordinating risk identification and resolution. The ideal candidate will come with at least three years' experience in project management, knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, and experience using JIRA. This is a four-month assignment with the possibility of extension.
Duties:
Reports into the Infrastructure Program Manager
Take ownership for the coordination and communication to end users on small to large projects.
Tracks deadlines, monitors and summarizes progress of projects
Prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of a project
Present status reports to senior stakeholders and leadership
Secure estimates from various project team members (including, but not limited to: producing tier estimates and project cost)
Have oversight on risk management and ensure that all projects are in compliance with established governance practices
Assist in organizing project communication to ensure all efforts are properly coordinated
Ensure lists of assets are properly updated and accounted for
Skills:
3+ years experience working in a Project Management/Project Coordination capacity
Track record of working across IT and functional lines of business to ensure smooth delivery of initiatives
Firm knowledge both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
Track record of working on large multi-functional projects
Proven ability to work in fast-paced environment
Strong stakeholder management skills
Experience working with PPM tools such as JIRA, Planview or Clarity
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
