Job Description
Morris Bean & Company is an aluminum foundry established in 1946. Originally starting as a part of Antioch College we have grown over the years to our current 185,000-square foot facility on 60 acres in Yellow Springs, Ohio. We utilize gravity and low-pressure casting processes to cast aluminum alloys in the 300 series. Molding methods include Antioch plaster, Air-set sand, and cold-box sand in combination with permanent and semi-permanent molds. We have proudly served industry in air and gas separation, commercial refrigeration, diesel locomotives, medical equipment, pump components, energy, and military applications.
Primary responsibilities for this position include:
Troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems
Install and maintain equipment
Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
Skills and experience required for this position:
Minimum of 2 years mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair
Industrial controls and motor controls
480V 3-phase power
Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic systems, power transmission, pumps, and gearboxes
Ability to fabricate and operate equipment (drill press, band saw, etc.)
Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and electrical control systems (Allen Bradley Preferred)
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years related experience in an industrial facility troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Must be self-directed and able to work with minimal direct supervision
