As an Applications Software Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain mission-critical web applications and microservices for aviation mission planning. You’ll work in a collaborative Agile environment, leveraging technologies like Java, .NET, TypeScript, Docker, and Kubernetes.Key Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable web applications and microservices.
Write clean, maintainable code in Java, .NET, and/or TypeScript.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Implement DevSecOps practices using tools like SonarQube, xUnit, and JUnit.
Utilize containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for deployment.
Analyze user needs and translate them into functional software solutions.
Create and maintain software documentation throughout the SDLC.
Support Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) mission requirements for P-8 aircraft.Qualifications
3–10 years of relevant software development experience.
Proficiency in Java, .NET, and/or TypeScript.
Experience with software design principles and testing frameworks (xUnit, JUnit).
Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and containerization technologies.
Experience with Agile development and SPA (Single Page Applications).
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one).Education
Required: BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related technical field.
Substitution: 6 additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree; 4 years with an associate degree.Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $90,000 – $130,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
