Financial Controller - Construction

Job Description

Our client company, a successful, well-established, and rapidly-growing distributor and installer of construction materials and products, is looking to hire a Financial Controller to join the team at its Atlanta-area HQ. The Financial Controller will play a vital role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of the firm, ensuring accurate accounting, budget management, and financial reporting for their commercial construction projects.

This role requires a highly skilled professional with a strong background in accounting (ideally within the construction realm), excellent analytical abilities, and effective communication skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and capable of managing budgets, forecasting financial outcomes, and ensuring the financial health of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control;

Handle accounting and reporting, including maintaining records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulations like GAAP;

Perform detailed cost analysis to improve profitability and review invoices;

Implement internal controls to protect assets and ensure accurate financial data;

Collaborate with teams and support staff;

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required;

5+ years of experience in relatable roles within the construction field;

Proficiency in accounting software and strong analytical skills;
