STARLIMS Developer - Remote

Job Description

We are seeking a STARLIMS Developer for a remote opportunity. Our client helps laboratories across pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, chemicals, food and beverage, and environmental sciences overcome challenges like outdated LIMS/ELN systems, data silos, compliance risks, and inefficient paper-based processes.

The ideal candidate is a team-oriented STARLIMS developer with deep technical expertise in STARLIMS v12+ and strong programming skills. They must effectively collaborate with business analysts, end-users, and technical teams to deliver custom solutions, integrations, and workflows. Strong communication skills and knowledge of regulatory compliance, laboratory informatics, and agile methodologies are essential.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 5+ years of STARLIMS development experience, including configuration, customization, and integration. Laboratory experience highly desired.

Extensive experience with STARLIMS Scripting Language, HTML5, JavaScript, and STARLIMS Designer for system customization and enhancements.

Proficiency in STARLIMS Advanced Analytics (dashboards, data visualization), Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN), and Scientific Data Management System (SDMS).

Expertise integrating STARLIMS with external systems using web services (REST/SOAP), APIs, and middleware.

Strong knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle databases, including stored procedures, performance tuning, and data migration.

Experience implementing STARLIMS security roles and permissions for regulatory compliance.

Ability to troubleshoot STARLIMS Application Server and IIS-based deployments for optimal performance.

Proficiency in JavaScript, .NET, SQL, and web services for STARLIMS extensions and integrations.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with STARLIMS upgrades, migrations, and cloud deployments.

Familiarity with other LIMS platforms (LabWare, LabVantage, SampleManager).

Understanding laboratory informatics and software development best practices.

Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, multi-project environments.Company Description
