The firm WHA Design, original known as William Hamilton Arthur Architect, was formed in 1962 as project architects for Phase 1 of Florida Atlantic University at Boca Raton, Florida. While still a University of Miami faculty member, Mr. Arthur coordinated all the technical disciplines and design consultants in producing the construction documents for this specialized University.

Mr. Arthur's firm went on to involve itself with such projects as the Nuclear Fallout Shelter Study for the Kennedy Administration, Eastern Airlines and the Orlando Jet Port. In 1972, William Francis Arthur joined the firm immediately phasing into project management for the various design projects the firm was specializing in. The following decade brought Bruce Arthur, William's younger brother, to form the core of the architectural team it is today.

WHA Design represents over 60 years of architectural and interior design experience. Mr. Arthur's vision of a family run business has its roots in William Hamilton Arthur Sr., a graduate civil engineer from “Vanderbilt University”. William Sr. was an inventor and successful paper tycoon during the depression years. His company, Beach & Arthur Paper Co., was eventually bought out by the Meed Paper Co. in the 40's and is still on the NYSE today. Generations of strong minds creating, envisioning, & developing ideas for future generations.

The members of the design team today also include Marta Herrera, Tina Ruiz, and Bruce Ford. Marta graduated with a Bachelor of Design in Architecture from Florida Atlantic University. Tina Miyares, a registered architect, graduated Cum Laud from NC State with a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture. Bruce Ford, a registered architect, graduated with a Masters of Architecture from the University of Florida. Their education and experience gives WHA Design broad reaching capabilities to provide creative designs and solutions to a wide variety of project types.
