Job Description

Role Summary

We're seeking an experienced software engineer with a strong background in building and operating applications in data-driven environments. The role involves crafting, implementing, integrating, and maintaining scalable applications for business processes, big data, and data science initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software solutions using Python (version 3).

Design and build cloud-native applications using AWS, with a focus on managed offerings such as Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, EventBridge, Step Functions, Aurora, S3, and API Gateway.

Apply infrastructure-as-code principles using AWS-native tooling like AWS CDK or CloudFormation.

Support application deployment through CI/CD practices using tools like Git, GitLab, and Jenkins.

Preferred Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.

A minimum of 5 years' professional experience in Python software development.

Proven expertise in designing and deploying solutions on AWS using serverless and managed services.

Proficiency with infrastructure automation using AWS provisioning tools (CDK or CloudFormation).

Experience in integrating applications related to data science or handling large-scale data.

Solid understanding of continuous integration and delivery pipelines and related tooling.

Familiarity with event-driven and serverless application architecture.

Understanding of best practices in RESTful API design and development.

Comfortable operating independently in Agile and DevOps-style team environments.
