Java Developer

Job Description

ComResource is looking for a Java Developer.

We need someone to assist in building backend services and supporting internal fraud application systems as part of an agile team.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, deploy, and support Java/Java EE backend applications.

Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements and envisioning system features.

Develop code with a focus on expectations and feature prioritization throughout the lifecycle.

Determine design methodologies and tools, completing programming using languages and software products.

Design and conduct tests, troubleshooting development and production problems across environments.

Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools.

Collaborate with experienced developers to deliver solutions within agile sprints.

Essentials:

5+ years of Java development experience, proficient with Java 21.

Excellent knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Framework.

Strong experience with REST and SOAP APIs.

Experience deploying on OpenSystems Windows and/or Linux.

Hands-on experience designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.

Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills using common design patterns.

Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).

Experience developing web applications with frameworks such as JSF, Wicket, GWT, or Spring MVC.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work onsite 5 days per week (preferred).

Desired:

Banking or financial services background.

Experience with ETL tools (DataStage, DBT).

Experience managing vendor systems and platforms.

Familiarity with deployment pipelines and OpenShift.

Experience with Snowflake.
