Network Engineer - Voice

Job Description

ComResource is looking for a Network Engineer – Voice.

We need someone to assist in supporting and enhancing the enterprise voice network, including two CISCO PBX systems and associated technologies such as Vocera, call recording, call trees, and PBX consoles.

Responsibilities:

Provide support for the voice network across central campus and 65 remote office locations.

Perform move-add-change requests, system administration for voicemail and Vocera, and support fax and other voice lines.

Participate in projects involving facility construction, renovations, call tree configuration, department migrations to CISCO, and implementation of new voice technologies.

Collaborate with IS teams to evaluate and implement voice/telephony-dependent technologies.

Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and perform maintenance during off-hours and weekends as needed.

Attend and lead meetings, complete project deliverables, and maintain documentation.

Provide customer training and technical support for voice systems.

Essentials:

3–5 years of experience in a voice/networking role (degree not required if offset by experience).

Strong knowledge of CISCO Communication Manager, Session Manager, and CMS.

Solid understanding of VoIP protocols (H.323, SIP) and TDM.

Experience with CISCO gateways, Session Border Controllers, and Linux administration.

Skilled in troubleshooting circuits, configuring phones/voicemail, and implementing dial plans.

Experience with contact center solutions and call tree configurations.

Strong project management and documentation skills.

Excellent communication and customer support capabilities.

Desired:

Interest or experience in coding, networking, and AI technologies.

Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members.

Willingness to work onsite five days per week with flexibility for occasional remote work.
