SCOPE OF POSITION:

The primary responsibility of the Project Manager I is to manage and coordinate the progress of orders through the construction services sequence by means of review, meetings, follow up and communication with internal departments and Customers until completion. The Project Manager I will act as a liaison for specified business unit(s), manage and/or evaluate development of these projects with varied complexities and assist in defining and tracking projects to include hand offs and additional support as applicable. The individual is also responsible for performing these tasks with minimal oversight.

Through initial review/meetings, have beneficial knowledge of job specific requirements that are effectively communicated and controlled through prepared status reports, meetings, and updates. Represent the company as a professional and knowledgeable resource that can be relied on for a successful and profitable completion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Complete knowledge of your orders

Attend all meetings (i.e. production, drafting, kickoff, project review, customer/conference calls)

Prepare meeting minutes as needed to maintain with file

Maintain project review list and keep up to date

Coordination between all internal departments and customer

Review and understand any internal department's questions, concerns and or RFI's (request for information); respond in a timely manner through phones calls and emails. Emailing is acceptable but if no response within the day a phone call is required

Follow up with internal departments regarding project statuses

Reviewing the drawings against the contract and/or Letter of Intent and or Quote and or clear Sales direction

Understanding and knowledge of our products, fabrication processes of the different products, building construction, and contract document knowledge

Effective internal & external communication: Verbally or written clear, precise direction. Leaving no room for interpretation

Follow up: Not only on jobs that are out for approval but jobs that are in drafting or released

Assist the project managers on-site for trouble shooting details, materials, or field conflicts

Update ERP system Notes when necessary

Maintain both electronic and physical files/folders as required

Implement and deliver solution-driven strategies

Work closely with production and purchasing to give a pro-active approach for materials required and deadlines

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION: (Minimum Education and/or Experience required)

Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school

One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Organizational skills

Excellent communication skills, oral and written

Knowledge of Construction and fabrication methods/processes

Knowledge of Company computer programs and Window Office programs

Knowledge and Complete Understanding of Company Policies.

Professional conduct on Company time and property.

Knowledge of the construction industry

Detail-Oriented

Able to multi-task and handle several projects at one-time
