Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatch operator to join our young company. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers and drivers, providing exceptional service and support. You will assist with transportation planning/logistics, and work with customers and drivers on a daily basis. Your expertise in transportation management systems and data entry (excel, google maps etc) will be crucial in maintaining accurate records and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
Provide accurate information regarding transportation planning, logistics, and supply chain processes.
Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to track shipments and manage orders efficiently.
Perform data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date customer records and transaction details.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and ensure timely delivery of services.
Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette while handling customer interactions.
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the customer service function.
Skills
Strong phone etiquette skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
Knowledge of transportation planning and logistics principles.
Proficiency in data entry with a keen eye for detail.
Familiarity with supply chain concepts and practices.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Previous experience in dispatching service or related fields is required.
