Role Summary
NearSource is looking for a skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to support infrastructure automation and scalability initiatives for a Fortune 500 product company. This role will focus on Python scripting, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD reliability within cloud-based environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead implementation of infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform and Ansible
Drive deployment automation, CI/CD integration, and pipeline enhancements
Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation, monitoring, and orchestration
Manage cloud infrastructure on Azure or AWS for high availability and security
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure consistent environments across development and production
Oversee source control workflows using Git and GitHub
Implement monitoring and observability using tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, or ELK
Manage artifact and package repositories (e.g., Artifactory, NuGet, Conan)
Support containerization strategies using Docker and orchestration via Jenkins
Must-Have Skills
Proficient in cloud platforms: Azure or AWS
Strong experience with Python for scripting and automation
Expertise in infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
Hands-on with CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins
Experience with Git/GitHub workflows
Skilled in monitoring/logging tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, ELK)
Excellent communication skills in English
Nice-to-Have Skills
Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration
Experience with artifact/package management tools like Artifactory, NuGet, or Conan
Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
