We are seeking a CAD Operator responsible for creating pre-construction drawings and final drawings while ensuring accuracy and timely production. This role reports to the National CAD Manager.

Essential Functions

• Receive redline prints and project documents submitted by assigned office(s) and prepare for drawing completion.

• Complete all required drawings accurately within the company timeframe and quality goals as well as within company variance percentage goals.

• Send completed home plans for roof, truss/floor I-joist quote requests to appropriate suppliers and vendors.

• Revise plans per change order process within company timeframe and quality goals.

• Maintain assigned Region(s) plan standards using contract documents and building codes.

• Provide technical assistance to sales and construction.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in the homebuilding industry is preferred.

• Must have experience utilizing computer aided drafting software, specifically Soft Plan and/or HighArc.

• Must be detail oriented and have good interpersonal skills, including excellent written/verbal skills.

• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills.

• Must have excellent computer skills.
