Metal Fabricator-MIG/TIG Welder

Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring Metal Fabricators for a company in Taylor, MI that specializes in packaging equipment and flexible packaging solutions.

Pay ranges from $20 - 22/hr. Overtime required, every other week. and some Saturday work.

Candidate will be required to pass an on site weld test.

Preferred knowledge and skills for this position include: Horizontal band saw, drill press, mild steel tubing, plate welding, and Tig welding (11-16 gauge). DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Metal fabrication, all welding functions, machine, shop tools and machinery, cleaning, Assembly, painting, Wiring, Hydraulics, pneumatics, Machining, fieldwork

• Electrical control panels and field wiring

• Conduct quality testing and troubleshoot issues on all equipment

• Perform machine assembly as needed

• Inventory control as needed

• CRM proficiency as needed.

• Shipping of parts as needed for customers.

• Working with customers to troubleshoot equipment problems.

• Provide onsite customer service support to our customers.

• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Three or more years in the field

• Drivers License required

• Some computer skills required- Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer functions.

• Metal Fabrication and all welding functions

• Lathe and Bridgeport operations

• General electrical knowledge

• General hydraulic knowledge

• Overhead crane experience
