Job Description

Job Type: Contract to Hire

Pay: $20 - $30 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

Pull, route, and secure low-voltage cables including CAT 5/6, coaxial, and fiber optics in new construction environment.

Install support structures, such as cable trays and conduit, for efficient cable routing.

Troubleshoot cable infrastructure on commercial or industrial projects, identifying and resolving issues promptly.

Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects.

Rack and stack, closet work, and assembling server racks.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in structured cabling and telecommunications installation is a plus but not required. We welcome candidates at all skill levels.

Knowledge of universal color codes for cable identification and labeling.

Familiarity with industry standards such as EIA, TIA, BICSI, or NEC is not required, but preferred.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Possession of necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and basic hand tools.

Reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, talk or hear, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, twist, and/or reach out for prolonged periods of time

Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds at waist height for short distances, and occasionally up to 100 pounds.

Overhead lifting: Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds overhead for short distances

Must be able to push, pull and move up to 75 pounds at shoulder height

Dexterity of hands and fingers to use tools

Must be able to regularly carry and climb ladders up to 20 feet

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics

Ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time

Must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones

Must be able to work in tight, confided spaces at times

Must be able to travel within territory as needed

Must be aware of OSHA safety standards

Noise levels are typically moderate

Pay Transparency

The anticipated salary range for this position is $20 - $30 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
