Truck Driver Class A CDL

Job Description

Wolff Excavating in SLC, UT is seeking a hardworking Truck Driver (CDL A) to join our team!

As a truck driver for an excavating company, you will be responsible for transporting materials and heavy equipment to and from construction sites. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.

HOURS: The typical schedule is M – F, 7am to 4pm. Overtime is often offered during busy seasons. Some Saturday shifts may be required when work volume is high, but this is not often.

Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck (26,000 pounds GVW and up): primarily dump truck, side dump, and transport heavy equipment.

Properly track and document activity

Pre-trip and post-trip inspections

Perform basic maintenance on trucks/trailers

Physical labor as needed

Abide by all local, state, and federal regulations and company safety proceduresRequirements:

Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields is preferred

Commercial driver's license, Class A with medical card

Certified to operate a standard transmission and fifth wheel

Ability to handle physical workload

Upon job offer, must pass DOT drug and alcohol screening tests, driving record review, and consent to a FMCSA query

Must not be under 21 years of age

Strong work ethic and physical ability to lift 50+ pounds

Have reliable transportation
