Financial Controller/ Sr. Accounting Manager

As an experienced Financial Controller, you will optimize financial performance and lead accounting operations. This includes managing the financial team, ensuring accurate records, and handling risk, compliance, reporting, analysis, forecasting, and audits. Your strategic and numerical skills will drive revenue growth, sound financial strategies, strong internal controls, and overall organizational success.

What you'll do:
Direct and supervise the Accounting Team while our policies and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Preparation and review of period end financial statements.
Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts and projections to effectively manage cash balances.
Perform analytical reviews of the monthly operating results to ensure the reasonability and accuracy of reports.
Direct the transactional processing of financial processes.
Book required journal entries to post period activity such as Payroll, Work Comp (if reporting) and Inventory.
Assist in the preparation of annual budget and periodic forecasts.
Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
Coordinate the preparation of audits and tax returns with outside CPA firm.
Assist in maintaining all corporate records and accounts.
Maintains financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
Participate and promote sustainability through use tools, education, and training to increase awareness among staff members, vendors, and the community

What you'll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. Master’s Preferred.
5+ of accounting or related experience with one or more years in a supervisory capacity.
Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles and familiarity of state regulations.
Software Experience: Quickbooks, Inventory Management
Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
Strong work ethic, accountability, and team mentality.
Strong leadership ability and guidance
Experience articulating concepts and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
Must be self-motivated and work well under pressure within a dynamic, changing and fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
