WCF is an A-rated insurance carrier growing in the western U.S. We are looking to for a Manager, Subrogation wanting to join a company with a great culture, competitive pay, and great benefits.
Position
The claims department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF Insurance values to join their team as a Manager, Subrogation in their Sandy, Utah headquarters. This posting is open to internal and external candidates.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the claim's recovery department, overseeing workers' compensation subrogation, commercial lines subrogation, and salvage activities.
Develop and implement written policies and procedures for recovery operations across all states and business lines.
Create and maintain a referral system to ensure timely and proactive claims investigations.
Supervise and monitor all third-party claims handled by the department.
Oversee and actively participate in mediations involving outside law firms.
Conduct training and presentations for adjusters, managers, and supervisors on all aspects of third-party subrogation and claims recovery.
Directly supervise subrogation adjusters, subrogation investigators, and salvage recovery personnel.
Track and report monthly recovery activity, providing statistical analysis to claims management, underwriting, marketing, and the Director of Investigations and Recovery.
Ensure accurate tracking of monetary recoveries across all states.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred.
A minimum of five years of senior-level claims experience in insurance.
Proficient with Arbitration Forums and E-Subro Hub
Certified Subrogation Recovery Professional (CSRP) designation preferred.
Associate in Claims (AIC) designation preferred.
In-depth knowledge of the Workers' Compensation and Commercial Claims Subrogation
Strong leadership, problem-solving, organizational, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
An internal candidate should have six months in their current position, acceptable job performance, and must notify their current supervisor that they've applied for the position.
