Job Overview
The Lead Data Engineer is a key role that will transform the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) team from a functional one, where we process data, to a technical one, where we redesign and/or update the Oracle system to reflect stakeholder needs.
The Lead Data Engineer is responsible for coordinating the collection, storing, processing, and analyzing of large sets of data and developing stored procedures, views, and systems to provide access and integration for the enterprise Oracle ERP database environment. The primary focus will be on building and implementing solutions to use for these purposes, and then maintaining, monitoring and fully integrating them with the architecture used across the division.

Translates business requirements into technical requirements
Designs and develops code, scripts, reports, and data management processes that supports internal systems and integrations with external vendors
Works with Oracle and interoperable systems in evaluating and implementing new technologies or features
Creates data models that conform to existing standards and conventions
Identifies, troubleshoots and resolves issues
Serves as a subject matter expert for data-related projects and initiatives within the ERP team
Mentors and provides technical and project leadership to a dynamic and collaborative team, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and management capabilities
Qualifications
Below are the minimum qualifications for this job. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also acceptable.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a technology field
Experience
• Eight years of experience with database setup, management and administration
• Extensive Oracle experience and/or certification
• Experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques
Licenses and Certifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles and practices
• Knowledge of cloud environments and handling databases in cloud environments, including the Oracle cloud environment
• Knowledge of Agile development methodology and concepts, or similar
• Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices
• Ability to solve problems using a creative and logical mindset
• Technical documentation skills
• Ability to work in a self-motivated and self-directed manner, with keen attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Additional Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) or Oracle ERP application systems, including implementation, configuration, development, or support, is required.
